Treasure Valley Hospital is a state-of-the surgical hospital physician owned and managed by SCA Health. We have 16 operating rooms and provide surgical care to patients with Anesthesiology, ENT, General, GYN, Neuro, Ortho, Urology, Cardiac, Radiology needs. Treasure Valley Hospital is a 28-bed, Joint Commission accredited surgical facility located in Boise, Idaho, which is consistently recognized for patient satisfaction. Responsibilities
Our Treasure Valley Hospital Team is seeking an experienced hospital Supply Chain leader. The Supply Chain Operations Manager will focus on driving best value in purchasing to generate savings and manage compliance with professional contracts. Responsible for all Material Management operational functions, including contract negotiation, internal distribution and delivery, warehousing, inventory and par management/replenishment, supply transportation, implementation of new products and product conversions. This position works with clinical staff and physicians to ensure that all Materials Management operations address and improve clinical outcomes, patient safety, variation, quality, efficiency, and cost. This position also communicates with leadership regarding operational performance, develops improvement plans to support local needs and coordinates operational alignment with the company's strategic initiatives.
Supply Chain Operations Manager Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for overseeing Materials Management operations - Central Supply (warehouse, distribution, replenishment, perpetual inventory), OR/ Procedural Areas Materials Management (distribution, replenishment, perpetual inventory) and Implants.
  • Responsible for performing strategic procurement activities across multiple departments, reviewing contracts, seeking the best possible contracts, and finding the most profitable vendors/suppliers.
  • Initiates surveys/evaluations to determine the feasibility of substituting supplies, equipment, or materials to decrease costs without significantly affecting quality.
  • Forecasts and recommends adjustments in par levels to determine quantities, inventory and monies required to meet demands for Surgical Services.
  • Job duties may include the access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies.
  • Responsible for the hiring, evaluation and disciplinary actions for all Materials Management operations staff. This includes scheduling workloads, providing continuing education to staff and working with customers to evaluate their requirements.

Qualifications
Supply Chain Operations Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field, required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of previous purchasing and contract review experience in a hospital environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of receiving, storage, distribution and/or warehousing work experience in a hospital or surgical center environment.
  • Minimum of three (5) years of previous work experience in a management position in a hospital or surgical center.
  • Previous experience using a personal computer with Microsoft office applications and contract database and automated inventory/tracking systems.
  • Previous experience in development of annual budgets, forecasts, and other business-related activities.
  • Effective and experienced in negotiating skills.
  • Previous experience with Cerner and Smart Systems, preferred.
