This HR Operations & Crewing SME (Subject Matter Expert) role is a part of the PepsiCo Foods North America business team of product owners who design and build out the Supply Chain Hub+ app, more specifically MFG Pro+. This app will be the 'employee experience' regarding the frontline forward concept. Designing the interface and how/when employees have access to performance alerts, workplace notifications, and employee centric information is critical to driving future organizational success. The role will govern and control interactions with the guiding team of field stakeholders, and become a part of the sustainment team after the application has been developed and functional capabilities articulated. The role will act as a product owner and own engagement with the guiding team. Subject matter expertise (SME) in field experience related to people centric operations and crewing, as it pertains to how frontline workers execute their daily and weekly activities, is crucial to the success of this solution.

Responsibilities
  • Be the product owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME), leading engagement with the guiding team of field stakeholders to encompass the field HR Operations function, ensuring the design and execution of the manufacturing strategy for Supply Chain Hub+ will deliver productivity, quality and safety through the development of an employee experience centered around: Work, Worker and Workplace.
  • Work closely within a team of 4 other dedicated product owners across different manufacturing-supporting functions, Supply Chain Hub+ Development and Deployment teams, to ensure a streamlined experience within the solution regardless of end user; focused on full deployment and successful adoption of the comprehensive solution across all Supply Chain manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure front-line needs falling under the HR Operations function, are solutioned appropriately to drive 100% End-User adoption for Supply Chain Hub+ by being a strong voice of the end user to drive technology fit of the application for relevant field and headquarters personas.
  • Partner closely with field guiding and project teams, to build a solution with prioritized functions and features of the application as pertains to field HR Operations. Within their function, the SME must accurately diagnose organization issues, develop solutions, and implement action plans as pertains to supporting a successful deployment of MFG Pro+ solution for respective scope to all Supply Chain manufacturing facilities.
  • Execute against project plans to enable real-time notifications from a multitude of systems into Supply Chain Hub+ to create directed, standardized and streamlined work for the manufacturing frontline and management teams.
  • Execute to enable enhanced, standardized and streamlined process venues across Frito Lay North America utilizing Supply Chain Hub+ (such as, but not limited to, Quality Walls, Pre-Shifts, PowerWalks, etc.)
  • Execute to enable integration of a multitude of different digital tools functions and features, such as, but not limited, to Kronos, Schoox, Digital Quality, Rtime, SAP, DPP and more into Supply Chain Hub+ as it pertains to HR Operations and crewing.
  • Engage and embed with on-going development of existing digital projects pertaining to HR Ops and crewing; to ensure they can effectively integrate into Supply Chain Hub+ upon project completion. This includes projects such as AR/VR Training, AI / Machine Learning and others as relates to SME area of expertise.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,300 - $177,850 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing roles relevant to HR Operations and crewing functions and be a subject matter expert (SME) in the requirements for field manufacturing.
  • Understanding of, and some experience with, most or all of the core aspects of Human Resource Management (staffing; employee relations; labor relations; performance management; leadership development; training, etc.) especially from a manufacturing environment perspective.
  • Ability to partner with cross functional partners and provide a partnered and composite solution.
  • Ability to conceptualize, articulate, and orchestrate a modern employee experience in Frito-Lay manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to develop and collaboratively link key Pepsico Foods North America strategies and priorities to ensure alignment across the organization, based on an enterprise and multi-year perspective.
  • Clear, effective verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Working knowledge of PepsiCo Foods North America IT / Controls Systems, Performance management and reporting systems, iOS Development, SharePoint, MS Teams is a plus.
  • Champions all related interactions for their respective subject matter expertise (SME) function within Manufacturing Center of Excellence and the Supply Chain maufactuing facilities. 

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree REQUIRED; major in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, psychology, or other related field preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Labor Relations, or Human Resources Management preferred.
  • 7+ years' experience in Supply Chain with experience practicing HR in a manufacturing and/or sales environment is preferred
  • Experience in field teams of diverse perspective and strengths, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of diverse workstream toward a shared goal.

  • Must possess consultative style and approach with proven ability to develop credible relationships with business partners.
  • Expertise working in a white space environment.
