The Supply Chain Engineer will perform planning and analysis work in support of Supply Chain operations.
What You Will Do
- Assist in investigating alternative production and warehouse layouts – Right Sizing
- Coordination and implementation of distribution of material flow – material replenishment methods
- Develop, implement and maintain processes to provide new capacity, and to improve material flow and productivity of existing facilities
- Assists in writing and following up on capital projects, purchase requisition, special work orders, miscellaneous interplant transfers, surplus equipment dispositions, and a variety of other documents to procure equipment and services
- Create and maintain PCCA current and future state value stream and process mapping
- Perform analysis of data and presents results
- Assist in writing and maintaining computer rules that control the location of incoming material, production and finished goods
- Assist in creating strategic tools to leverage and optimize PCCA global Supply Chain, which align with organizational goals and objectives
- Ensure that department objectives are in line with corporate objectives
- Travel up to 10%
- Assist with related special projects, as assigned
Who You Are
- Bachelors of Engineering or Bachelors degree with an emphasis in distribution operations, i.e. Material Handling, Logistics or eight years of experience in logistics Supply Chain
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships
- Advanced statistical/analytical and decision making skills
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and SQL
