Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist level 2 for the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Cell Factory Supply Chain team in Baltimore, MD. Hybrid schedule required (50% in-office presence).
Roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements.
  • Works alongside Production Control, Operations, and Manufacturing personnel to forecast upcoming production in the SMT Cell.
  • Collaborates with Program Teams to Create/reduce supply requirements based on inventory adjustments.
  • Communicate with suppliers and NG Supplier Leads for purchase order status, lead times and delivery dates.
  • Formulates and executes plans to mitigate material shortages.
  • Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
  • Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of Planned Orders.
  • Runs queries and analyzes reports in MS Excel and SAP to identify critical-path procurements and forecast material shortages.
  • Evaluates and provides resolution of material shortages needed for Out of Cycle Production Orders.
  • Prioritizes, and expedites receipt of material deemed critical for production.
  • Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity, and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of related experience for a level 2; 1 year with a Master's
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, TEAMS)
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects
  • Demonstrated capabilities in material management, dock to stock flow, outsourced kitting, and MRP in an SAP Environment (or something similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-discipline, and cross-function as part of a top performing team
  • Hands-on experience developing / implementing common processes, product templates / standards / checklists, metrics, root cause/corrective actions and training
  • Effective oral and written communications skills, capable of translating and presenting complex project concepts to management and stakeholders, through presentations and other written formats

Salary Range: $68,800.00 - $103,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
