Job Description – Supply Chain Analyst
Summary
Archaea Energy, a bp company, is one of the largest renewable natural gas (“RNG”) producers in the U.S., with an industry leading RNG platform and expertise in developing, constructing, and operating RNG facilities to capture waste emissions and convert them into low carbon fuel.
The Supply Chain Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that a company’s supply meets demand efficiently. This individual would assist in monitoring the flow of information, resources, and data required by SUPPLY CHAIN to ensure that critical processes are run effectively and to achieve organizational goals. This role will report to the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement. The position will be hybrid and located in Houston or Pittsburgh.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect and manage data on SUPPLY CHAIN operations.
- Analyze this data to identify areas for improving SUPPLY CHAIN efficiency.
- Develop and execute projects aimed at enhancing SUPPLY CHAIN operations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with shippers and vendors.
- Measure SUPPLY CHAIN performance and report findings to management.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
- Interpret data and analyzing results using statistical techniques.
- Gather and analyze company spend, supply market data, and other commercial information.
- Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate supply risks.
- Support Supplier Performance Management

Skills, Experience Required
- Requires a college degree in business, engineering, or SUPPLY CHAIN.
- 0-2 years of experience preferred.
- Experience for this role typically obtained through internships, part time roles or entry level positions.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and working knowledge of an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning Software).
- Technical mindset to learn systems and the LFG business.
- Ability to deal with customers throughout the organization and at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Strong Excel and other data management skills.
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Possess knowledge of various types of engine/mechanical and electrical parts.
- Experience reading Blueprints.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
