We are looking to hire a Supplier Diversity Program Manager to join the GM team
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to work effectively cross functionally, both internally and externally and build relationships
Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, electronics, etc.)
Experience handling commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performance
Proven competence in negotiating skills
Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
The Supplier Diversity Program Manager will work to execute our vision to achieve equitable and sustainable supply chain inclusion goals that ensure long-term viability for our diverse supply base
The Supplier Diversity Program Manager must be able to work collaboratively internally and externally with our key stakeholders and have a passion to see diverse suppliers develop and grow
Basic competencies for the role include: the ability to navigate matrix relationships, budget management, dealing with ambiguity, organizational agility, and outstanding communication skills
Preferred competencies for this role include political savvy, multi-cultural immersion, and strategic agility.
This Program Manager shall exemplify key GM behaviors such as One Team, Be Inclusive, Look Ahead and Be Bold
Partner with Program Managers to represent purchasing and communicate program requirements/vehicle line overview.
Additional Description
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
5+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Purchasing
Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input and when to act independently
Ability to deal with ambiguous situations
Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and manage through uncertainty
Willingness to travel, as necessary (25%)
Cross-functional experience or knowledge
Working knowledge of MS Office Tools, PowerBI, SAP, Ariba
Working knowledge of how Supplier Diversity Advocacy Organizations operate and support diverse groups
Working knowledge of Supplier Diversity and purchasing and supply chain management strategies/practices/processes
Community/civic engagement experience
Automotive industry experience
Knowledge of procurement software
Knowledge of materials management
Capable of interpreting market data
Able to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents
Solid knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processes
