About the Role

The Supplier Diversity function within Magna International supports efforts to secure additional business by utilizing diverse suppliers. The Service Parts function within Magna International supports the delivery of high quality parts 100% on-time. This is accomplished by supporting Magna groups and divisions with service part related issues, assisting Magna Account Managers with a wide range of activities such as plant closures and OEM specific questions, etc. The Service Parts team monitors and distributes service rating information, works with Magna Quality on issues pertaining to service delivery and shares best practices and promotes interaction among groups and divisions.

Your Responsibilities

•    Provide daily support to the Supplier Diversity Manager / Corporate Account Manager, Services Parts.
•    Diversity:
o    Assist with virtual and in-person Supplier Diversity events.
o    Respond to Supplier Diversity emails.
o    Maintain certification information in Supplier Diversity portal.
o    Maintain master diversity spend file and submit required reports to Customers.
o    Update and maintain diversity database with eligible minority, woman, and veteran-owned businesses. 
o    Update documents and portal information.
o    Provide diversity spend reports to Magna Groups, including Sales and Purchasing Directors.
o    Attend diversity shows and events and coordinate other attendees.
o    Assist with downloading OEM supplier performance reports.
o    Meet with OEM Diversity contacts as needed to demonstrate our commitment to Supplier Diversity objectives.
o    Develop with the Groups, annual diversity spend plan for submission to Customers.
•    Service:
o    Single point of contact for FCSD, GMCCA and Mopar as of July 1, 2015. Interface w/various Customer groups within Ford, GM & FCA.
o    Communicate information to Magna plant personnel: bulletins, new processes or procedures, packaging information, best practices, etc.
o    Facilitate & negotiate resolution of source performance disputes and other service issues.
o    Work with Magna quality groups on issues pertaining to Service delivery.
o    Distribute service rating information to Magna management and plant personnel. Review unsatisfactory ratings and coordinate correct action plans.
o    Assist in training plant personnel to meet Service requirements and expectations. 
o    Monitor new plants and program launches.
o    Assist Magna Division account managers with various activities:  plant closures, GM Supply Power & Covisint related inquiries, obtain forecasts and contracts from customer, etc.
•    Assist with department projects as assigned.
 

Who we are looking for

•    Knowledge of or Interest in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
•    Must be able to juggle multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
•    Must be able to work effectively both independently and with a team.
 

Your preferred qualifications

•    High school diploma. 
•    Currently attending a college or university. 
•    Proficient computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual communication platforms (Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Zoom).  
•    Professional communication skills (written and verbal). 
•    Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
•    Position could require local travel, up to 25%, as necessary. 
•    Position may be virtual or hybrid, depending on public health situation.
