* A Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition, Family and Consumer Sciences or related area. Master’s degree preferred.
* Successful experience in program development and management, demonstrated communication ability as well as skills in leadership and management.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans, conducts, and coordinates nutrition education programs targeting Snap-Ed eligible audiences.
- Utilizes the expertise of advisory groups, community leaders, public officials, and representatives of intended audiences to analyze data, identify needs, and assist in developing nutrition education programs.
- Develops plan of work that meets the needs of low income, Snap-Ed eligible audiences, both youth and adults.
- Evaluates and monitors Snap-Ed outreach in the communities.
- Develops and conducts relevant interdisciplinary programs with other staff members based on critical issues.
- Collaborates with other agencies and community groups to implement programs.
- Conducts promotional efforts to expand the public’s knowledge of Extension Snap-Ed programs.
- Utilizes current research data and information on emerging issues in program development and teaching.
- Demonstrates personal interest and involvement in community by participating in and supporting civic/community activities/organizations and networking with community leaders.
- Maintains adequate records for reporting and evaluating purposes. Makes reports to appropriate groups and individuals including University staff and public officials through media, personal contacts, and group meetings.
- Maintains a high degree of professional competency and pursues a program of professional improvement through in-service training, membership and involvement with professional organizations, professional education, and personal study.
