Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes the following: 1) Experience providing leadership and direction in the areas of SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH to include accident prevention controls, risk management, HAZCOM, Industrial hygiene, radiation safety, system safety, respiratory safety, chemical hygiene in office, lab, field and test environments; 2) Experience providing oversight of safety reporting, investigations and the Army Safety and Occupational Health Management System (ASOHMS); 3) Experience demonstrating resourcefulness in researching, developing and implementing new and improved safety methods, policies and procedures to meet program objectives experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (equivalent to the DE-03 pay band (GS-13 grade level)).
