Job description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER in the OPERATIONS (N3), FORCE PROTECTION (N3AT) DIVISION of NAF EL CENTRO SEC DET.Qualifications: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing guidance on law enforcement and security policies and procedures; 2) Interviewing witnesses to crimes, accidents, or security breaches to determine facts, warrant apprehension, detention, or lesser action; 3) Resolving law enforcement issues; 4) Conducting searches to compile evidence of crime/accident scenes; 5) Reviewing reports for accuracy, discrepancies, and areas of concern. This position is subject to shift work. Incumbent is subject to 24-hour recall, and will maintain a 24-hour recall notification number, and is required to respond per installation policy/standard operating procedure. Overtime may be required.
May be subject to being interrupted from meal and/or other work breaks while on duty.
Must be able to maintain a U.S. Government emergency vehicle operator's license.
This position requires rotating shift work.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
REQUIREMENT:
Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 month of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC. In accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.Education: This job does not have an education qualification requirement.Employment Type: FULL_TIME
