Job description

Overview
Supervise, train and inspect the performance of the Resort Activities Staff, ensuring that all procedures and activities are completed appropriately. Assist with arranging, executing and supervising all indoor and outdoor guests' activity games/functions, while providing privacy and safety.
Responsibilities
  • Create activities that focus on the surrounding landscape, the history of our community and artistic expression.
  • Create unique events that provide convivial conversations and experiences.
  • Communicate daily with all Resort staff in order to exchange ideas, information, and opinions to formulate programs, arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions and solutions.
  • Must be able to converse and professionally attend to high profile clientele such as celebrities, CEO's, and influencers while upholding strict confidentiality.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all recreation offerings and be able to clearly articulate to guests.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Act as a main contact for all vendors and maintain positive relationships.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Resolve guest complaints, to insure guest satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on local events and happenings as they pertain to activities.
  • Work with Experience Planners and Concierge to insure accurate reservations and booking processes.
  • Be a proactive seller of Resort Activities and research potential new resort offerings.
  • Execute group teambuilding and activities events.
  • Be an ambassador of all recreation programs.
  • Work with the marketing team to create activity marketing materials and promotions.
  • Maintain all aspects of the FareHarbor reservations system.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop scheduling for Resort Activities that flows with off-site transportation.
  • Collaborate with valet team to organize off-site transportation.
  • Create and update SOPs for new activities and procedures.
  • Analyze Resort Activities prices, transportation expenses, and labor costs to insure Resort Activities are priced appropriately.
  • Interview new candidates for Activities Leaders.
  • Maintain the Training Manual and train all new team members.
  • Help create the weekly schedule for associates.
  • Supervise all of the Activities Leaders. Conduct monthly check-ins to make sure that each associate feels appreciated and understood. Use what is said in these check-ins to assist each Activities Leader to attain their career goals.
  • Flexibility with other aspects of the Resort Activities team upon request of supervisors.
  • Flexibility with other services not pertaining to guest services, but dealing with the resort.
  • Problem solving at a fact paced, high level to insure guest satisfaction.
  • Experience working with kids in a professional and elevated setting is a plus.
  • Retail experience is not required but a plus.
  • Able to handle tools and configure general building.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in event programming and hospitality with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation.
  • Must have a strong business aptitude.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, able to handle multiple concurrent projects and be able to independently identify and solve key business problems.
  • Excellent communications skills (written + verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills are of the highest importance.
  • Ability to collaborate across many levels and departments.
  • Bachelor's degree in recreation, hospitality, tourism or event planning preferred.

Compensation
Base Pay Start Rate: $25/Hr.
