Operations Supervisor
Essential Functions:
The Operations Supervisor will report to the Operations Manager and assist in the supervision of building operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of up to 10 part-time employees
- Responsible for opening and/or closing the building.
- Assist in the set-up, execution, and clean up of special events within the building.
- Assist in maintaining arena cleanliness
- Maintain an accurate and on time ice schedule by performing routine ice resurfaces
- Complete routine maintenance on both ice surfaces and all ice maintenance equipment
- Complete and maintain accurate logbooks, ordering and vendor relations
- Maintain basic knowledge of the Cimco Eco-Chill Ice Plant
- Rectify customer discrepancies in a professional manner
- Assist Hockey Director with Adult Leagues
Key Competencies and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
- High School diploma, or GED equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of Zamboni or Olympia operating experience
- Ability to inspire a team in a collaborative environment
- Ability to give as well as take direction, and work with team to discuss and plan new ideas. Must be able to take in and apply feedback from numerous sources and implement into performance
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible can-do attitude
- Self-starter, proactive, highly motivated
- Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, intense environment
- Must obtain a valid state issued drivers license
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Frequently - cold temperatures
- Occasionally - temperature changes, wetness
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Travel:
Work related travel as assigned
Schedule Overview:
Shifts and hours may vary. Candidates must be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
