Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations
Location/s:
Hopkinsville KY USA - Pembroke Rd
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full Safety Responsibility including:
- Promote Behavioral Based Safety throughout plant
- Weekly employee engagement meetings/toolbox
- Monthly Safety Trainings/Investigations
- Complete Safety Incident Reporting
- Supports continuous improvement philosophy driving lean manufacturing principles.
- 6S projects, SMED events, Kaizen
- Responsible for manning requirements, training and talent development, goal attainment, and continuous improvement within these areas.
- Maintain time and attendance tracking.
- Quality Responsibilities:
- Perform daily layered audits.
- Quality investigations 8D and 4 Block
- Leadership and guidance for Quality Auditors
- Tool distribution.
- Assist operations with scheduling, printing, and distribution of work orders.
- Interface with other foreman to ensure efficient operations between shifts.
- All related supervisory duties as required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of three years previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Cold Heading experience is preferred.
- 2-year technical degree or higher preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, organizational skills, decision making, and drive shift excellence.
- Proficient with PC usage (Microsoft office) and popular business software. Specific experience with JD Edwards, SharePoint, and/or Lighthouse is preferred.
- Trained in the use of Lean Manufacturing tools, 6S, and Kaizen events.
- EH&S experience, compliance, and training.
- Experience in planning and scheduling daily production requirements.
- Must be able to work overtime if needed
- Other duties as assigned.
