Nemours is seeking a Supervisor, Billing Operations Surgery Plastics in Wilmington, DE.
Primary Functions:
The Billing and Operations Supervisor is responsible for the daily operational activities within the Divisions of Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery in the Department of Surgery. The Billing and Operations Supervisor will report to the Director of Operations - Surgery to ensure effective and efficient functioning of all aspects of operations.
Essential Functions:
- Support efficient operations of the Division of Neurosurgery and Division of Plastic Surgery through:
- Supervising the Surgical Practice Coordinators and their daily surgical scheduling and management
- Reviewing Surgical schedules, Physician and Advanced Practice Provider deployment
- Identifying patient access gaps and providing countermeasures
- Overseeing and/or maintaining Kronos for all Attending providers and Surgical Practice Coordinators
- Onboarding new providers with setup of education required, ordering of supplies, office assignment, and all other related processes.
- Under direction of the Director of Operations - Surgery, and in collaboration with the Director of Operations, support revenue cycle management efforts:
- Monitor the processing and payment of Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery claims as performed by the Central Business Office. Ensure insurance information is accurate and correctly assigned. Ensure Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery charges are accurate and posted to patient accounts.
- Manage revenue cycle related processes to include oversight of the processing and payment of Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery claims, to include charge reconciliation, daily cash reconciliation, and review of missing and/or open encounters. Ensure insurance information is accurate and correctly assigned. Obtain authorization and intake information as needed.
- Monitor processing of Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery claims with a specific focus on collaborative, multispecialty procedures.
- Manage ad hoc financial and operational data requests.
- Process personnel action forms as needed, when reconciling monthly labor allocation.
- Participate in revenue cycle, data and preparatory meetings.
- Support Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery scope supply and inventory
- Build and maintain a database of Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery equipment (scopes)
- Provide support on scope usage and scope deployment
- Monitor departmental administrative functions on a daily basis.
- Participate in budget discussions and planning.
- Approve reimbursements and keep log of monies available vs monies used.
- Manage Policies for the Department of Surgery - reviewer/approval for all policies (Policy Tech).
Job Requirements:
High School diploma required.
Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider equivalent years' experience and enrollment in degreed program.
3-5 years of job-related experience
Proficiency in Epic Op Time or equivalent preferred.
