The PP&E Supervisor will primarily be responsible for the management of all fixed assets and related areas and processes (including construction in process "CIP" and Authorization for Expenditures "AFEs," fixed assets, intangibles, and other long-term assets). Position could sit in Denver, Co or Tulsa, Ok corporate office.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Focus on managing and developing staff & senior accountant(s) and setting clear expectations and provide timely feedback.
- Lead initiative with water business unit operational leaders to develop and monitor KPIs and identify process improvements to enhance accuracy, timeliness, visibility, and reporting of capital projects and related spend/commitments.
- Analyze and prepare proposals (e.g., optimizing processes, reducing costs, streamlining review, integrating best practices, enhancing performance/accountability etc.) to water business unit operational leaders and across other groups as necessary.
- Direct the period close and reporting process; ensure timely and accurate month-end close (with regards to financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, capital spend and rollforwards).
- Research and resolve various accounting issues; ensure appropriate accounting for acquisitions, divestitures, and other transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all SOX requirements, including the assistance in development, documentation, and implementation of internal controls.
- Assist SEC Reporting, Risk Management, Tax, and other departments with various requests in area of responsibility.
- Provide requested information as needed for internal and external audits.
- Completion of other various accounting responsibilities and tasks.
Position Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects (high level of flexibility and adaptability) and to meet deadlines/goals consistently.
- Direct and clear interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with various levels of personnel within different departments.
- Excellent accounting, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required with advanced knowledge of Excel strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of large ERP systems; experience with Oracle Cloud is preferred.
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, CPA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience managing and/or leading accounting staff/personnel.
- Minimum of five years of overall accounting experience, including a history of work directly related to Fixed Assets.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting theory, with proven ability to interpret and document the applicability of GAAP.
- Experience in the midstream oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Experience in a large, publicly traded company is preferred.
Travel:
Minimal travel required.

Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00
