Are you ready to take our CRIMINAL DEFENSE law office to the next level? Our law office is looking for a superstar CRIMINAL DEFENSE attorney who is ready to represent our clients in Orange County. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients. This position will involve traveling within Orange County and Los Angeles County from time to time to the different courthouses to bring our clients Justice.
Our firm is opening a Orange County office in Santa Ana one block from the courthouse and this position is a full-time job. This is NOT a remote position. The attorney will be in our Orange County office all by themselves but working closely with our main Attorney Dod by phone and text message. Our main office is in San Diego County.
BASE SALARY PLUS GENEROUS BONUS COMPENSATION FOR REVENUE THE NEW ATTORNEY BRINGS TO THE FIRM. HEALTH CARE WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED AFTER 90 DAYS. PTO ALSO PROVIDED
Jury Trial experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis
Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Understand the state and federal court system
- Knowledge of APS hearings and how to handle DUI cases
- Handle jury trials as the lead attorney, or 2nd-chair trials by Attorney Dod
- Jail Visits
Qualifications:
Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 1 year a plus.
We require an attorney with the following qualifications:
- Passed the California Bar Exam and in active good standing
- 1-8 years of criminal law experience including state and federal
- Trial experience preferred but not mandatory
- Must be familiar with DUIS and DMV Hearings
- Prior work with a Public Defender's Office or District Attorney's Office is preferred but not required
