Residential Construction Superintendent

Job Summary:The Residential Construction Superintendent oversees all aspects of on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with building codes and regulations. This position requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively manage construction teams and subcontractors.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities from project initiation to completion.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage and schedule subcontractors, labor, and materials efficiently to maintain project timelines and budget.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and safety standards are met or exceeded.
• Resolve any construction-related issues, conflicts, or discrepancies that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
• Provide regular progress updates to management and participate in project meetings.
• Manage and enforce site safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Train, mentor, and supervise construction teams to maintain high-quality workmanship and productivity.
• Collaborate with the project manager to forecast project needs, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Oversee the implementation of sustainable construction practices, when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience (X years) working as a Construction Superintendent in residential construction.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 60 pounds) and perform duties in various weather conditions.
• Physical agility to navigate construction sites, climb ladders, and access confined spaces
