Commercial Construction Superintendent With Cqm (Federal Projects)

Currently Seeking a General Commercial Construction Superintendent (Military Base or Federal Project experience preferred but all applicant will be considered). Successful candidate must have significant commercial experience. USACE experience preferred. Looking for a candidates that is also CQM/SSHO certified.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise the field construction of a project including its organization, planning and scheduling in order to complete the work on time and within budget.
• Review all contracts, drawings and specifications and develop on-site plans and procedures for implementation.
• Interface with client representatives, representatives, other contractors, inspectors, etc.
• Conduct safety meetings and responsible for overall site safety.
• Work with operations or project manager to assure work is consistent with estimates, procedures, dimensional control, equipment and manpower; keep them properly updated on progress schedules; and schedule delivery of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate, direct and monitor activities of subcontractors, suppliers and company labor.
• Ensure all necessary permits and other temporary facilities are in place before construction begins.
• Work with QC to ensure that the proper meetings are conducted, documented, and paperwork submitted. Assist QC to monitor quality of workmanship on site.
• Develop on site relationship with the project Construction Manager.
• Nurture rapport with customers, but maintain reputation for being tough on schedule, reasonable, and fair.

Experience:

• Previous experience with Federal Projects and experience working with the USACE is preferred.
• Experience as a QA/QC required.
