Position Information
Golf Course Superintendent I (SR-18)$4,531/month
Plans, coordinates and supervises the overall operation, improvement, development and maintenance of a municipal GOLF COURSE and its facilities; and performs other related duties as required.
Current Vacancy Information:
There is one (1) vacancy with the Department of Enterprise Services, Golf Courses Division, located at the Kahuku Golf Course. The position is responsible for the day-to-day management responsibilities for planning, directing, and supervising the operation, improvement, development, and maintenance of the Kahuku Golf Course. Facilities under the control of this position include: a 68 acre 9-hole GOLF COURSE, a small golf clubhouse with vending machines; two grounds maintenance buildings, and a parking lot. This position has fiduciary responsibility for an annual operating budget of over $344K, with related revenues exceeding $204K from 33,000+ golf rounds per year.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Two years of supervisory experience in GOLF COURSE maintenance and/or operations activities.
Such experience must have shown the demonstrated ability to plan, organize, assign and review the work of subordinates engaged in the operation, improvement and maintenance of a GOLF COURSE.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Valid Hawaii State driver's license (Type 3/automobile), prior to appointment.
