Superintendent

Position Summary:

The Superintendent will manage projects and ensures everything runs smoothly. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Keeping track of project progress
• Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and quality standards
• Purchase equipment and materials
• Upkeep on equipment and truck maintenance

Complexity, Decision-Making, Problem Solving

• Highly motivated individual to plan and obtain construction permits from local authorities.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Previous experience as a construction superintendent
• Knowledge of construction job sites.
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lead, inspire, and train subordinates
• Experience in a customer service focused organization.
• Budgeting expense
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Management Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and assistance.
• Resourceful and able to think analytically when faced with a problem.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum two-years work experience performing as a Superintendent.

Environmental/Working Conditions

• Working in the elements

Other Considerations/Requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel on short notice, and for extended periods of time.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• This position requires overtime/weekend/off-hours and very frequent domestic and international travelling.

The employee frequently is required to sit/stand for long periods of time; routinely walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel;climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawland reach with hands and arms.

• The employee must be able to lift push, pull and/or move more than 100 pounds frequently.

Work Environment:The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions in extreme temperatures and weather.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
