Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent

Reports to: Superintendent
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Flexible and willing to change directions quickly
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualification:
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant
- Successful school experience
Summary:
Performs duties to meet the needs of the Superintendent and the Board of Education in the accomplishment of their goals in accordance with the district's mission of providing excellent service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet and interact (in person, via telephone, via email) with the public, Board, and employees in routine and emergency or emotional situations with tact, discretion, courtesy, and calm
- Assist with daily management and operation of the Superintendent's office including screen visitors, phone calls, and mail for Superintendent
- Directs incoming calls to appropriate personnel and/or department
- Provide information and interpretation of district policies and procedures
- Act as secretary to the Board of Education; gather information and prepare Board agendas; assemble and prepare other materials for Board meetings; set-up room for meetings
