JOB SUMMARY:
This temporary position is responsible for assisting the STEAM Programs Manager with preparation and onsite support leading up to and through our youth summer classes at Pablo Center at the Confluence.
This position will have opportunities to improve office administration skills, learn from industry partners and gain experience working with students. This position will work with the STEAM Programs Manager
SALARY: $11-15 per hour, depending on experience.
WORK DAYS/TIMES:
Monday through Friday 8 am-1:30pm May, June, July.
May - 10 hours per week (May 6-31) Able to work remote in May, if needed.
June - 30 hours per week (June 3-28) Must be onsite.
July - 30 hours per week (July 8-26) Must be onsite.
DUTIES:
- Assist with preparation for June and July classes including but not limited to:
- Correspond with parents/families through email reminders and answering questions.
- Contact waitlists to fill seats as needed.
- Create documents, spreadsheets, and materials used during class sessions.
- Inventory supplies and order items as needed.
- Assist during June and July classes including but not limited to:
- Prepare and reset classrooms each week.
- Support daily attendance tracking, permission slips, and health tracking.
- Support teacher needs during class sessions.
- Help manage students when leaving the building for a walking field trip.
- Assist with student drop off and pick up.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Encourage a kind, collaborative, creative, and energetic environment.
- Provide a safe space for all students to succeed and learn.
- Assist with classroom clean up and rearranging when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to create lesson plans and document curriculum.
