Summer Legal Intern
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsibilities
A small in-house legal department is seeking a summer intern for assistance with various projects. Examples of projects include assisting in building playbooks within the company’s contract lifecycle management system; creating legal training materials for new sales team members, project managers, and other departments that routinely interact with the legal team; assisting with updating the company’s contract repository; drafting various agreement types; research in association with intellectual property, data privacy, data transfer, and other topics related to the company’s business. All projects will be completed under the guidance of the company's in-house legal counsel, including general counsel, with additional support provided by our in-house paralegal.
Qualifications
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school program; rising 2L, 3L, or pending law school graduate.
- Candidate must have prior work experience such as summer jobs during high school and/or college.
- Undergraduate studies in business, finance, English, communications, or computer science, are preferred.

- Have experience and expertise in Microsoft Office products and online legal research tools (e.g. Bloomberg Law). Contract lifecycle management software (Ironclad) is preferred.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively with a wide variety of business and legal colleagues.
- Provide practical legal analysis.
- Possess a desire to practice law in an in-house setting after graduation and bar passage.
