Legal Assistants work on the following:
Corporate Immigration areas:
· H-1Bs
· L-1As
· L-1Bs
· Alien Labor Certification (PERM)
· EB-1C (Greencards) and Naturalization petitions
· Employment Authorization petitions
Job Duties Include:
· Preparing petitions and applications under supervision of the firm's immigration attorneys and law clerks
· Monitoring a high volume of cases with varying deadlines
· Preparing all documents related to the application process, includes support letters, forms, exhibits, and others
· Generating notifications to clients and maintaining relevant records
· Responding to immigration inquiries in a timely manner and strictly adhering to submission deadlines
· Administrative tasks
· Performing other duties as assigned
Must have:
· Excellent communication skills; oral and written, to include legal writing skills
· Strong organizational and prioritization skills
· Ability to multitask across various clients
· Initiative to learn and synthesize new information
· Problem solving skills
· Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently as well as coordinate with a team
· Experience with Microsoft Office suites; Excel, Outlook, Word
This job will be on-site at the USILAW office.
