About the Role
HARMAN's diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offers interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role will be to oversee the Demand Planning and inbound material activities within HARMAN Lifestyle Consumer Audio. You will lead the analysis of related data to manage overall inventory levels in a manner consistent with high-level customer service initiatives and the business financial plan.

You will report to the Sr. Manager, Sales and Operations Planning
What You Will Do
- Execute scenario planning for current and long-term forecasts required to drive production and inventory planning.
- Implement and analyze forecasts to include key factors such as historical sales, promotion planning, customer sell-through, etc.
- Proactively alert sales and supply team on changes in Key Account buying patterns by SKU, and changes in assortment, to maximize delivery of sales.
- Help develop Amazon forecasting methodology using Vendor Central POS. Inventory & Forecast
- Assist in developing health checks to compare Harman forecasts vs customer forecasts.
What You Need
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Sophomore. year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program. Degree must be in a related area of work with courses in Supply Chain.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders.
- Work collaboratively and have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
What is Nice to Have
- Previous entry-level work experience is strongly preferred.
- Work experience with large retailers is a plus (BBY, Target, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills, and experience working with large volumes of data and performing quantitative analysis.
What Makes You Eligible
- Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.
- Able to work in an office in Northridge, California (hybrid).
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
- Must provide full work availability from May 20, 2024 through August 9, 2024 and be able to work 20-40 hours per week depending on workload.
- Highly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

Salary Ranges:
USD 52,200 - USD 63,800
