Salary- Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Manage daily tasks for camp assistants assigned to support you
- Keep it fun, but also manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
- Adequately prepare for each program by reading the curriculum, watching training videos and participating in face-to-face training sessions
- Handle inquiries from parents and partners regarding Snapology programs
- Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs
- Criminal and Child Clearances must be current
- 2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
- An education degree or teaching experience is recommended, but not required. Those pursuing a degree in education will also be considered for this position
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
- Summer camps
- Weekday after-school and/or evening classes
- Weekend workshops and/or birthday parties
- Special events, holidays, and school-break workshops
Compensation: $25.00 - $25.00 per hour
