Summer Camp Nurse

The Arc of York & Adams Counties is looking to hire an LPN or RN for our Summer Camp program at
Camp Pennwood.

We are looking for someone who is a Registered Nurse or an LPN who wants to come out and have some fun making memories with some great individuals while providing as-needed nursing care and first aid to our campers as they participate in recreational activities in an inclusive, Summer Camp environment. 
Camp Pennwood is a recreational Summer Camp program run by The Arc of York & Adam's Counties for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, from ages 6 to 21 years old.
The 2024 Summer Camp season for campers is from July 8th- August 9th, Monday-Friday, from 9:00 am-3:30 pm.
The camp program this year is full of opportunities for our campers to enjoy good company, make new friends, reconnect with old ones, and engage in seasonal, social, and leisure activities.

All camp staff must also be available June 24th, 25th, and 26th from 9:00 am-3:30 pm for orientation and training.

The Camp Nurse will be responsible for the health and safety of campers, staff, and visitors, dispensing medication and first aid as needed.
This day camp serves approximately 50 campers daily and employs about 25 staff members under the leadership of the camp director and the director of community services.

Salary: $23.00 /hour
License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• RN (Preferred) or LPN
