STV is currently searching for a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) CAD Technicianto join our TMR Division out of either our Midlothian or Round Rock, TX Office(s).
Responsibilities:
- Performs drafting in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Plot utilities and topographic mapping.
- Perform office survey activities in accordance with Minimum Standards of Practice for Surveying
- Perform utility records research and office computations necessary for the completion of task assignments including QA/QC.
- Prepares finished deliverables including: SUE QL A deliverables, SUE QL B, C, and D level mapping, topographic mapping, and other survey reports.
- Communicates the daily progress of the crew towards the project goals and/or accomplishments with the office staff.
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D,
- Knowledge of MicroStation a plus.
- Proficiency in Google Earth and Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of utilities.
- 3+ years of CAD experience preferred.
- Field experience a plus.
- Be able to go to the field and visit job sites as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background check for employment.
- Interest in advancing Subsurface Utility knowledge through hands-on experience and mentoring.
- Ability to quickly acquire skills and learn new techniques.
- Ability to think creatively, keep an open mind, and take constructive criticism.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
