Form of workThe Bryan County School System is accepting applications for PK-12 SUBSTITUTE TEACHERs for the 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR. The successful candidate must be at least a high school graduate and have at least either (a) a Teaching Certificate or (b) a Paraprofessional License or (c) passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment or (d) successfully completed a minimum of 60 semester or 90 quarter college/university credit hours with a Grade of "C" or better.
*Candidates holding current teacher certification are preferred.
The following is required prior to receiving an invitation to attend the required Substitute Teacher Orientation:
- Complete work history included in online application covering at least the last 10 years - gaps must be explained.
- Copies of proof of required education level must be uploaded to your online application (teaching certificate or official college transcripts or official GACE paraprofessional assessment scores); AND
- At least one (1) current, work-related supervisory reference response must be received through the online application.
Applicants who fulfill the requirements of the application process will be contacted by Human Resources for enrollment in the required Substitute Teacher Orientation. Substitutes are responsible for the criminal background check fee in the amount of $51.50, due at the time the completed employment packet is submitted.
