Hello mindful Preschool Teachers!

We are a yoga play-based preschool for 12 months to 5 years old. We teach mindfulness and emphasize on the social and emotional development. We have a peaceful approach to learning.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time to scheduled shift
• Assist pre-tots to preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote mindful and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Assistance with students’ needs throughout the day, i.e. bathroom, diapers, lunches
• Participate and support lead teacher during Yoga and all activities throughout the day
• Be present and involved with students
• Help facilitate transitions, difficult moments and individual conversations with students
• Implement schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and co-workers
• Maintain the health and safety of all students
• Step in as Lead Teacher when the Lead is out of the room
• Prepare/clean each room for daily activities
• Clean up at the end of day
• Use Brightwheel software to communicate with other staff members

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare centers (preferred)
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Regular mindfulness/yoga practice (preferred)
• 2 years of preschool experience in a licensed child care center OR 24 hours of pre-service training (required)
• Background check (required)

Job Types: Temporary, Contract

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week

Grade levels:

• Pre-Kindergarten

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Required)
• Yoga/mindfulness: 1 year (Required)
• preschool classroom: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
