Substance Use Therapist DUAL LICENSE REQUIRED

This position will also be eligible for quarterly bonuses of $2,500 ($10.000 yearly) for meeting client care expectations, a yearly total compensation of $73,000.

The Role You Play

Substance Use Therapists at Pawnee are the backbone of our Recovery program! You will be responsible for providing evaluations, assessments, and treatment services to clients that present to Pawnee with concerns relating to addictions and co-occurring disorders, according to your level of licensure.

• The Day-to-Day
  1. Conduct initial assessments of Substance Use and/or mental health issues, formulate a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan
  2. Conduct alcohol/drug evaluations, domestic violence assessments, and anger evaluations according to your training and expertise
  3. Provide individual, group, and/or family treatment according to licensure and treatment plan
  4. May require travel to other offices of assignment, as determined by your supervisor
  5. Provide expert clinical opinions to other program staff as requested
• Other Duties as Assigned
  1. Maintain continuing education and attend regular training events
  2. Complete Batterer’s Intervention Certification upon employment
  3. Complete trainings related to Evidence Based Practices and training in Motivational Interviewing Skills
  4. Complete crisis screens if no crisis program staff are available

Who You Are

To succeed in this role, you will need to be passionate about providing mental health care to people of all ages.

• Required
  1. Meets the standards of the Kansas BSRB for licensing as an LMSW, LPC, LMLP, or LMFT
     • Temporary licenses are accepted for up to one year
  2. Licensed as an LAC, LMAC, or LCAC
  3. Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language
  4. Basic personal computer skills
• Preferred
  1. A license to practice independently
  2. At least one year experience providing individual or family therapy
  3. Experience with Microsoft Office software
  4. Ability to provide addictions counseling
