The Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage is seeking a highly competent professional who possesses outstanding reasoning and problem solving skills and is committed to providing exceptional customer service to court referred clients. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Vicinage Criminal Division Manager) and/or the Court Executive 1B (Vicinage Assistant Criminal Division Manager) and the direct supervision of the Court Services Supervisor 2, this individual will schedule and conduct interviews with clients who have potential Substance Abuse problems; develop client histories as they relate and contribute to addictive behavior; use appropriate assessment tools to formulate treatment recommendations; evaluate clients' clinical suitability for the Drug Court program and appropriate treatment modality; prepare written and verbal Substance Abuse assessments, treatment recommendations and progress reports for the court; provide testimony in the area of Substance Abuse as required; collect and maintain case statistics to generate status reports; perform related duties as required.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in the areas of fundamental concepts of pharmacological properties, the continuum of drug use and the potential for Substance Abuse disorders and their psychological and physical effects, and understand technical material, rules and regulations.
Frequent travel within the multi-county vicinage and/or to meeting locations outside the vicinage may be required.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Qualifications
Substitution: Valid certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and two years of experience in a recognized treatment program or agency evaluating and/or counseling chemically dependent clients, including gathering and analyzing socioeconomic information; determining client treatment needs; providing access to social services, therapeutic interventions, rehabilitative assistance, or professional counseling; and preparing reports of findings and recommendations may be substituted for the CADC.

Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.

Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
