STARTING HOURLY RATE OF $23/hr.
  • This is 3rd Shift with a pay differential of 12%

What will you be doing:
As part of the Madison, WI Dose Formulations team you will learn to perform and document techniques used in preparing materials for dose administration in compliance with appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines. Common duties include preparing laboratory reagents, vehicles, diets, solution/suspensions and capsules according to study protocols.
  • Learn how to review and interpret study protocol for test material formulation procedures and to ensure that a study tasks are conducted according with protocol, SOPs, and GLPs.
  • Learn to collect and record applicable hand and computer generated data in accordance with protocol, SOPs, and GLPs.
  • Learn how to perform study calculations and specific techniques for test material formulation.
  • Learn study set up and management, data organization, QA audit response, internal and external client communication skills, and quality check procedures.
  • Learn to serve as a lead tech; serves the role of secondary tech.
  • Learn to use laboratory equipment appropriate for assigned tasks.
  • Learn to prepare laboratory reagents, vehicles, diets, solution/suspensions, and capsules according to study protocols and SOPs.
  • Learn the process of disposition of samples from prepared dose materials by Labcorp or sponsor.
  • Learn the process of formulation verification and storage of prepared test materials.
  • Learn procedures for safe handling of test materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Learn to recognize deviations from normal results and informs Study Director, Principal Investigator, Formulations Coordinator and/or management of any problems and/or deviations that may affect the integrity of the data.
  • Report all animal care concerns and becomes involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action, when necessary.
  • Learn to plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedules multiple assignments.
  • Contribute to a cohesive team environment. Plans individual workload in coordination with team members.
  • Support process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

How you will be rewarded:
  • Pay rate: $23/hr. plus 12% shift differential
  • Shift: 3rd (3:00am-11:45am)

Education/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry or related scientific field
  • Experience may be substituted for education
