Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
Support the Office of Human Resources by creating a welcoming environment for the community and performing a broad range of administrative tasks, including data entry, scheduling, audits, compliance and a range of special projects.


Transferable Skills:
  • Basic office and administrative skills
  • Assistance with HR compliance, including I-9 verification
  • Assistance with professional correspondence
  • Data entry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Oracle, and WordPress

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in person and by telephone; take messages
  • Schedule appointments using Google calendar
  • Input data using different types of computer software
  • Retrieve and download data from systems as needed
  • Perform audits and assist in compliance with document retention policy
  • Assist with completing I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Scan, link, and proofread employee documents
  • Update department website
  • Transcribe handwritten notes
  • Update student job bulletin boards
  • Order flowers for employees as needed

  • Ability to input data accurately

  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Skill in writing clear, professional correspondence
  • Skill in or ability to learn Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Google Suite, Oracle and WordPress


Prerequisites:
Students must have a work award on file to be eligible to participate in the student employment program.
