This is a remote, work-from-home position. We will consider applicants that reside in the following states: Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, Texas, and Utah

Pay Range: $22 -$24 per hour

Position Summary of the Student Success Coach:

As a Student Success Coach, you will support Bryan University’s mission to help our students liberate their innate greatness by working one-on-one with students to build and sustain a relationship that will help the student achieve success from the time the student begins to the time the student ends their program. The Student Success Coach is key in assisting students to face and overcome personal challenges that hinder students’ ability to stay in and complete their programs. Coaches serve as the primary point of contact to provide and refer student to resources needed for success.

Key Responsibilities of the Student Success Coach:

  • Coach students entering various programs to help them utilize academic consultation, financial aid, IT support, and other student resources
  • Establish regular communication with students and hold one-on-one coaching meetings with new students throughout the start process and through the student’s time at the University
  • Organize and hold ongoing group meetings for students to foster peer-to-peer networking and support opportunities
  • Collaborate with other Bryan University Departments to offer supplemental information about available resources and opportunities
  • Identify or reaffirm students' educational goals and disseminate course and program information as necessary
  • Working with current students with respect to re-enrollment, transferability, and applicability of previous college credits earned, degree program options, degree program requirements and progress, and providing information on university policies, practices, and rules
  • Maintain a student contact strategy for all students who have withdrawn to facilitate their re-enrollment into a degree program
  • Track and monitor student’s academic progress, achievement, and obstacles
  • To effectively coach students and support them in overcoming life and academic challenges and helps them achieve success
  • Coach students that are facing academic difficulties and challenges to help motivate and provide guidance
  • Help students engage resources to help them achieve success
  • Resolve student concerns and objections
  • Find resolutions to student inquiries and requests
  • Provide open and honest feedback regarding continuous process improvement to the Bryan University educational process
  • Provide support for activities related to re-entry and Leave of Absence for students
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Student Affairs

Position Requirements of the Student Success Coach:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master's degree preferred
  • Must be able to work M-F 8:30 – 5:30 PM AZ with once monthly 2-hour Saturday.
  • Ability to effectively coach students through challenges to assist them in achieving success
  • Must be a self-starter and innovative in approach while still being aware of the impact of deadlines and time constraints of tasks
  • Ability to make independent decisions about how to customize the coaching process to match each individual student’s needs to help the student achieve success
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel in a professional, courteous, and effective manner using excellent customer service skills
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to identify the effectiveness of work and modify approach accordingly
  • Results and goal-oriented with a passion for personal, professional, team, and company improvement
  • Must have basic computer literacy with the willingness to learn new apps and flexibility in application
  • Strong live and recorded online presentations and have exceptional communication skills
  • Possess high accuracy, efficiency, and dependability
  • Ability to sit at a workstation for long periods of time
  • Online higher education experience is highly preferred (staff, faculty, or student)
  • Prior experience as staff/faculty in Student Services or Affairs is highly preferred
