The Student Intern will be a member of the production team responsible for working in the control room, operating cameras, and displaying content on the jumbotron or by livestream. QUALIFICATIONS:Must be a current student of Beaumont ISD enrolled in a Level 3 or 4 CTE Digital Communications course.
Must be of legal work age and hold valid work documentation. Special Knowledge/Skills:Ability to use personal computer and presentation softwareAbility to handle confidential information in a discrete, professional mannerEye for detail and grammatical errors; accuracy is imperativeExcellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skillsAbility to be an effective team member, display initiative, and motivate others.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Produce camera footageSound theoretical knowledge, practical and technical knowledge of cameras.Work Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere editing softwareCollaborate with Director and Production TeamAssist with lighting and sound setupAbility to frame and compose shots; edit filmAbility to operate camera moves accuratelyAssist with the operation of the jumbotron.Produce announcements for upcoming events for the district and campusesWORKING CONDITIONS: Mental DemandsWork with frequent interruptionsWork in a high-pressure atmospherePhysical Demands/Environmental DemandsLifting, carrying, and reaching above shoulder; individual equipment weight approximately 20-25 pounds Use of fingers, repetitive hand motionsFrequent bending and stoopingProlonged use of computerNormal office environmentWorking outside **The State Board for Educator Certification will require all first-time applicants for an initial credential to be fingerprinted as part of a national criminal background check.
