Under direct supervision of a Registered Radiology Technologist operates fixed and portable fluoroscopic or conventional radiologic equipment to obtain routine radiographs of designated body portions according to physician specifications. Positions patients and adjust x-ray equipment to current setting for each examination. Assists physicians in carrying out examinations by mixing and preparing contrast media, assisting in sterile procedures, etc. Follows policies and procedures as set forth by the facility. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an approved school of radiologic technology with knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment. BLS required.
