As a System Admin intern, you will gain work experience while learning about building and troubleshooting hardware, applications, and infrastructure upgrades. You will learn to diagnose and repair software and other computer issues, provide support for information technology and department teams, enhance and oversee organizational cybersecurity, and learn how to address technology failures. Your responsibilities can span everything from tech support to systems upgrading duties. Positions may have the potential for future employment opportunities based on performance and funding.

- Assists with a wide range of duties in the field *
- Manages computer systems and user accounts*
- Assists with ensuring security of systems and networks*
- Assists with creation and analysis of routine projects, programs, policies and procedures *
- Performs assigned intern projects and follows them to completion *
- Supports more experienced personnel *

Required Experience
- High School Student enrolled in a STEM or other collegiate prep program or recent High School graduate (as of May 2024) with intention of pursuing degree in Computer Science, Engineering (all fields), Information Systems, Information Technology, Math, Physics, Cybersecurity or Data Science
- Must be willing and able to relocate to Huntsville, AL at his/her own expense for duration of internship
- Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- US Citizenship required. Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
- DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification or higher
- Demonstrated projects and/or certifications specific to information technology
