Organization
The Student Financial Center Director assists the University in achieving its strategic plans of student enrollment, retention, and success by providing leadership and oversight of the front-line advisement services for financial aid, financial education and planning, bursar billing and payments, and scholarships. Assures compliance by formulating and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations. This position brings management expertise, integrity, and energy to the leadership of the office, creating key partnerships with academics, admissions, Bursar, Enrollment Communications, and technology support to provide quality, seamless customer service to prospective and current students of the University of Oklahoma.The person in this position exhibits:Integrity: Accountability for doing the right thing by exercising good judgment and honesty. Efficiency by researching best practices, making creativity a priority.Essential Duties:
    Develop and maintain policies and procedures and coordinate training to ensure compliance with Title IV, Title VII, and all other applicable financial aid requirements and regulations.  Coordinate with the Office of the Bursar, Financial Aid Services, the Scholarship Office, the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, and Student Affairs representatives regarding the most efficient use of financial aid resources.  Provides comprehensive oversight and responsibility for advisement of financial aid, bursar, and scholarship processes in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.  Oversee or provide information for the preparation of federal, state, and institutional reports, including internal and external audits.  Assess and implement strategies to appropriately serve the student population.  Supervise and direct staff in providing timely and accurate services to students and departments.  Coordinate with Enrollment Management Communications to ensure timely, accurate, and transparent messaging to prospective and current students regarding financial aid, billing, and scholarship processes.  Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.  

Job Location
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree. 
    60 months of Student Financial Aid Services experience. 
Skills:
    Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills Ability to gather and analyze financial aid, billing, and payment related dataDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead staff  Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines Exceptional internal and external communication skills Knowledge of financial aid compliance, regulations, and best practices  Advanced computer skills in MS Office 
Working Conditions: 
    Ability to engage in repetitive motion. Standard office environment.
Departmental Preferences: 
    Certifications & Licenses: NASFAA Credentials preferred

Supervision: Director, Student Financial Center - 8 SSE's, 7 MC's and 7 Student Employees
