Compensation:$60,841.00-$73,009.00Compensation Type:SalaryEmployment Type:RegularGrade:E05Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Student Experience, the Student Communications Manager is deeply student-centric and is approachable and relatable to students. The Student Communications Manager is skilled in the area of text and email content development, segmentation and delivery. Focused on understanding the unique CNM student segments and are able to effectively speak to, inspire and engage individuals to take action. This position is viewed as the department's resident expert and evangelist for best practices in creating effective customer (student) journeys and crafting variable content that delivers the right message, to the right person at the right time.Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervises and manages work of staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring staff is trained, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, maintaining a healthy and safe working environment, and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary
    recommendations
  • Builds the Student Communications strategy and calendar, leveraging CNM’s communication channels that span email, live chat, SMS, and web.
  • Crafts communications across platforms that are engaging, written in student-friendly language and adhere to all CNM brand standards.
  • Advocates for an exceptional student experience from first inquiry to graduation, with a constant focus on college enrollment, persistence and graduation targets and initiatives.
  • Manages strategic communications that engage and help students to be successful when enrolled at CNM.
  • Defines key performance indicators for each communication channel which will indicate a campaign's level of success.
  • Develop and implement strategic communications campaigns that will help further college enrollment, persistence and graduation goals and monitor the success.
  • Develops and writes clear, compelling and grammatically correct copy that connects with students, employees and other target audiences through various media, such as text messages, website content, mass emails, and various publications. Also provides high-quality editing for various communications.
  • Collaborates with other departments on specific communication needs.
  • Ensures quality, accuracy, and completeness of communications.
  • Serves as the point of escalation for issues with communications.
  • Measures communication program success by implementing test and learn strategies, to ensure goals are being met and continual improvement is achieved.
  • Recommends new approaches for customer communications, including new messaging, new email templates, or strategic changes to delivery methods.
  • Guides the team’s approach to writing communications through appropriate voice and persona
  • Manages and creates content for daily student text and email messages.
  • Runs and analyzes metrics reporting to track campaign effectiveness and drive improvement, reporting successes and recommendations for improvement to management
  • Collaborates with the Marketing & Communications team on College-wide branding, digital/social media campaigns, and enrollment marketing messages
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of related experience.
