C.A. Jones/WRS, Inc. is looking for Structural Fitters & Structural Welders with MIG Pulse Arc & Flux Core Experience for a project in South Carolina near Charleston!
This is a Temporary to Permanent Positions!!

Position Overview
Welder must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to cut, weld, and perform other hot work as required. The Structural Welder may be required to pass appropriate certification tests. The following is a list of typical work that a Structural Welder might be asked to perform:
· Lay out work to be performed from written and oral instructions. Select most effective welding sequence.
· Perform or directs all necessary actions to ensure proper and adequate weldments are created in accordance with industry and/or Navy standards, the higher standard will be met.
· Create weldments, utilizing a variety of procedures, which must pass visual (VT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (LPT), and/or radiographic inspections (RT), as appropriate.
Fitters must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to assemble, modify, lay out, fabricate, repair and install plates, shapes and/or pipe to be used to form a part of a structural assembly in connection with ship alteration and repair. The following is a list of typical work that this position might be asked to perform:
-Lays out work from written and verbal instructions. Employs appropriate trade methods to ensure watertight integrity on hulls of metal ships.
-Manufactures and installs interior and exterior structural items.
-Repairs and/or removes and replaces damaged ship structures and fittings. Understands and utilizes appropriate trade methods to create structural weldments and fittings. Manufactures and installs parts and assemblies from templates.
-Prepares surfaces for welding, burning, riveting and lays out for holes to be drilled utilizing miscellaneous hand, electric, and pneumatic tools. Measures with various precision instruments as required.
-Coordinates and arranges for the work of several trades in connection with performing work from information received from technical work documents, blueprints, specifications, written and/or oral instructions
Requirements
Minimum 4+ years experience in trade with MIG Pulse Arc & Flux Core experience required. Marine experience preferred.
Fitters must have experience with reading structural blueprints.
Ability to pass a vision exam.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, respirator fit test & hearing test.
Shall provide own hand tools (tool list provided upon selection)
Must have dependable transportation
Must be able to follow instructions
Physical Demands
Primarily involves standing and walking, performed on a frequent to constant basis
Requires manual dexterity
Bending, squatting, pulling/pushing, reaching and handling are required on a frequent basis
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work aboard marine vessels, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces, and wear required personal protective equipment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $1,300.00 - $1,988.00 per week
