Structural Steel Estimator
Iron Force Constructors, Inc. (IFC) is a Structural Steel services company serving the Arizona market that provides detailing, fabrication and erection services for commercial projects.
We are seeking a new team member to join as Estimator. The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for construction projects of all sizes based on client's specifications and documents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine project requirements and scope by analysis of project plans, specifications, and other documents.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Regularly review and update estimating model.
- Review estimates from Junior Estimator for accuracy and completeness.
- Prior to execution of project contract conduct a scope review and confirm alignment with the scope in contract. This may include attending pre-bid meetings and site visits if required.
- Review contract changes, RFl's, ASl's, and execute take-offs of all changes to construction documents.
- Together with the Project Manager, review detailed shop drawings for accuracy with contract drawings.
- Collaborate and support the project manager as the project progresses
- Develop business relationships to obtain bid invites

- Solid experience with all facets of Structural Steel estimation and project management
- Proficiency in using software programs such as Bluebeam and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
- Adaptability when changes occur in work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
- Proven skill at people management with the ability to build and manage interpersonal relationships, to influence and win respect, seek win-win solutions in negative situations, mentor and develop Junior estimator
- Solid negotiation skills
- Ability to work at home within the local Phoenix area. Equipment will be provided.
Pay depends on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
