Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of new commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with local and national codes.
- Utilize and promote the use of construction materials commonly found in Florida to optimize design efficiency and sustainability.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and expertise in Structural Engineering principles.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and approve structural designs and calculations prepared by the team.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of Structural Engineering.
- Participate in client meetings, presenting design concepts and addressing any structural concerns.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Structural Engineering, with a focus on the design of commercial buildings.
- Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Expertise in construction materials commonly used in Florida.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Structural Engineering software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Florida or the ability to obtain licensure.
