Structural Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTIONSkiltrek is seeking a Structural Analyst, who will be the primary simulation expert for the design team. Their primary responsibilities center around the technical and analytical support for propulsion products from preliminary design phase through detailed design, testing & validation, production, and operations. This person will determine and perform required structural analyses of propulsion focused aerospace components including static, dynamic, thermal (steady state & transient), fatigue/fracture, and tolerance throughout engine design lifecycle. This person will validate design model predictions using a hands-on approach and informed collaborative work across the engineering department and aid teams in meeting technical, mass, performance, and cost targets.REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCEMust Haves:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar technical foundation
- 3+ years of professional experience in analysis within the Aerospace Field
- 2+ years experience in FEA analysis
- Familiarity with design/CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks or CATIA or NX
Experience in Python, Unix, Matlab, FORTRAN, C++ or similar programming languagesNICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCEPlusses:
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar technical foundation
- Familiarity with fluid or thermal analysis
- Experience in dynamic/vibration analysis
- Background in University level or entry level rocketry
