Job Description
We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Co-Op who is studying in Supply Chain Management, and who is looking to further their hands-on training in Supplier RFQ process, Supplier communications, and working with internal cross functional teams comprising of Commodity Managers, Buyers, and Engineering.
Qualifications
Job Summary Overview:
- Will work with a multidisciplinary team of Commodity Managers, Buyers and Engineers to implement various supply chain management initiatives.
- These initiatives include RFQ's, data analysis, issue resolution, supplier selection, and data visualization.
- Be an agent of change, working with a motivated team to realize our 2024 Strategic Sourcing goals.
Job Requirements:
- We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Co-Op who is studying in Supply Chain Management, and who is looking to further their hands-on training in Supplier RFQ process, Supplier communications, and working with internal cross functional teams comprising of Commodity Managers, Buyers, and Engineering.
- Open to learning and being coached.
- Must be able to take direction.
- Must be a self-starter and comfortable initiating conversation with new people, being diplomatic and seeking information wherever it may reside.
Education Required/Licenses/Certifications/Skills:
- Enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or Engineering Management.
- Project management and lead experience is considered beneficial
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Strong Excel skills is highly desired. SAP and Tableau skills are desirable
Additional Information
For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $20.00 and $26.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
