Summary
About the Position: This position serves as a Strategic Operations Analyst within the Fielded Force Integration Directorate (FFID), Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Eligible for situational telework ONLY, including emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework".
This is a TERM not to exceed 3 years position. This position MAY be made permanent without further competition, contingent upon verification of the incumbent's noncompetitive eligibility.

Duties
  • As a Strategic Operations Analyst, you will perform duties to include but not limited to the following:
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to resolve issues within functional programs.
  • Document planning and programming decisions in appropriate formats to meet requirements.
  • Verify the relevancy, adequacy, sustainability, attainability, accuracy, and completeness of information and recommendations related to assigned tasks.
  • Analyzes, develops, and evaluates issues and develops recommendations to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in major variety of DOTMLPF functional programs.
  • Participates in the development and makes recommendations for modifications to systems and programs around doctrine, tactics, and concepts of operations.
  • Participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Prepare and provide briefings on program operations to
senior leaders, 2) Design and conduct comprehensive studies, AND 3) Develop solutions to support command operational and
contingency areas.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

the announcement.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone NO substitution of education for experience is permitted.

How You Will Be Evaluated
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
