STRATEGIC CUSTOMER OPERATIONS MANAGER
The Strategic Customer Operations Manager serves a critical role in supporting existing Strategic Programs as well as providing supply chain optimization recommendations in support of new business development efforts. The Strategic Customer Operations Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring the efficient sourcing of goods and services, and strategic planning of inventory for our key customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing:
- Initiate set up of new vendors and new SKUs in support of Strategic programs.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align sourcing activities accordingly.
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
Supply Chain Optimization:
- In support of new business development and in collaboration with the Strategic Accounts team, assess new business opportunities to identify how they can best fit within our current supply chain model and provide recommendations for supply chain efficiency.
- Analyze and evaluate the end-to-end supply chain for our key customers to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times, and increase inventory turns.
- Work closely with logistics team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to meet customer demand and to achieve maximum customer satisfaction, while maximizing inventory turns.
- Work in collaboration with Strategic Accounts team and Strategic customers to ensure accurate forecasting and stock replenishment.
Project Management:
- Work with Strategic Account Manager to coordinate the rollout and implementation of new Strategic programs across internal departments as well as externally working with the customer’s site planners.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collaborate with Product Management and Demand Planning to provide necessary analytics for monthly demand planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize data analytics tools to extract meaningful insights from supply chain and inventory data.
- Communicate complex supply chain and inventory information in a clear and concise manner.
Risk Management:
- Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and inventory management and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes that may impact the supply chain.
Personal Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Sourcing Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, in Materials Management or in a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain (S&OP/IBP planning).
- Strong working knowledge of demand planning process within the Food and Beverage industry.
- Experience in analyzing data to perform Root Cause Analysis, ROI, and Cost Benefit Analysis.
- Strong organizational skills accompanied by the flexibility to quickly adapt in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Superior analytical ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Organized with excellent follow through capabilities.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Demonstrates full proficiency and knowledge of JDA software or equivalent demand planning system, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (MS D365 preferred).
- Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively across the organization to accomplish strategic objectives.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, ownership, commitment and focus to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to play a key and influential role in cross-functional settings and with diverse stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ability to model the Company’s values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Willing to travel to meet with suppliers and customers as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field or five years of equivalent experience in supply chain within a food ingredient or food manufacturing business with demonstrated food supplier knowledge.
