Strategic Buyer

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is collaborating with a leading luxury appliance designer and manufacturer to find a skilled Strategic Buyer. This role perform tasks necessary to source, or re-source equipment and materials to support production froma global environment to achieve the best overall cost and on-time project implementation.This role demands self-motivation, minimal supervision, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Job Functions

• Non-production material: execution of onsite operational PU tasks (e.g. release of shopping carts,escalation mgmt.)

• Is accountable for Material group and market analysis & development, alignment and implementation of regional material group and supplier strategy/portfolio (incl. strategy approval process), of assigned area, where applicable as could be supporting alternate lead buyer in thecluster area.

• Production material: Steering: Responsible for MPC planning, ratio projects of cluster area ofassigned material groups.

• Non Production Material: Steering: Responsible for assigned categories based on defined KPIs tocontribute to maximum purchasing success (Total Cost of Ownership)

• Supplier management (e.g. ensures supplier technical capacities, evaluates risk & performance, triggers supplier development, supplier visits, triggers & supports supplier release, managessupplier base, ensures SAP data maintenance, etc.)

• Negotiation & awarding (e.g. drives Rfx, negotiation & awarding process on project, materialgroup or supplier level)

• Solid level of Technical know-how to fulfill the special/required knowledge in the area ofresponsibility

• Ability to lead over distance within the area of responsibility, if applicable.

• Skilled at collaborating with cross-functional partners, to ensure timely implementations of allprojects (including those within the Product Development/Product Architecture processes).

• Ability to functionally or directly lead individuals/teams.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Specific Knowledge

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.

• Advanced negotiating skills.

• Excellent computer skills, including data entry.

• Ability to operate independent of supervision with accuracy and attention to detail, to deliverquality outputs of tasks.

• Skilled within procurement /supply chain management field.

• Preferably, previous experience in a manufacturing environment, or a background in a technicalarea.

• Proven track record with respect to Buyer deliverables, problem solving, and presence.

• Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• SAP

• Ability to travel domestically as well as abroad.

• Foreign language skills are desired (German or Spanish)
