JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be proficient enough in roles of stores supervisor to back up the role when needed.
- Assist Stores supervisor in managing stores inventory through SAP and Ariba transactions. Run daily reports necessary for inventory management.
- Assist with managing Fastenal vending inventory.
- Conduct yearly inventory of stores items and work with Supply manager to correct any discrepancies.
- Investigate discrepancies with inventory or invoices and find root causes. Correct root cause to prevent future discrepancies.
- Manage Stores inventory by deleting and adding item SKUs.
- Manage total inventory value based on site goals.
- Conduct yearly SKU reviews. Work with operations and maintenance to adjust min / max levels as plant needs change.
- Communicate information to operations and maintenance about lead times/shortages of items so that informed decisions can be made.
- Coordinate the physical receiving of packages upon arrival, and correctly record items received.
- Complete SAP transactions for incoming materials.
- Maintain proper paperwork for all receipts and issues.
- Work with vendors and end users to acquire emergency supplies when need arises.
- Maintain radio inventory and perform annual radio inventory.
- Assist operations with management of their VMI areas on site.
- Conversion of operations quotes to purchase orders for weekly VMI.
- Monitoring of VMI locations on site and coordinating with Vendors to assure weekly checks are done.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Maintain your assigned 5S Areas.
- Assist with delivery of material to end users or warehouse.
- Manage inventory levels for the following, breakroom supplies, PPE room supplies, site printer supplies, fuel tanks levels, horizontal stores raw materials, dry ice, stationary, Poly Totes.
- Manage dead storage files.
- Coordinate with Accounting in order to procure past-due Invoices for items physically received.
- Purchasing of specialized materials for operations that are not SKU items, as the need arises.
- Schedule is primarily straight days. However, may require weekends as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in SAP warehouse management or other warehouse management software.
- Forklift operator
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Flexible, able to perform more than one task at a time
- Good organizational skills
- Computer skills necessary: Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Independent worker: Motivated to perform tasks without constant supervision
- Self-starter, able to function with minimal supervision
- Able to work alone and have good interaction skills with other departments and third-party organizations
- Attention to detail and record keeping
- 1 – 3 Years warehouse experience.
- Computer skills preferred: SAP, Ariba, Outlook, Excel, and Word
