Summary/Purpose:
Working with Warehouse Supervisor, Lead Hand and Customer Service Group, maintains quality of product and ensures accurate picking and delivery of Koyo/JTEKT products to our customers.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
• Warehouse workers are expected to receive (unload) and store (load) and ship merchandise that is kept in the warehouse. Receipt of containers and putting received merchandise on shelves for easy access and in an organized and logical manner.
• Goods are put away either by hand and/or by forklifts, which may be used to handle heavier loads. Sometimes maneuvering the pallets is required.
• Complete work orders for customer specifications, prior to shipping orders out.
• Shipping of all orders which have been placed from CSRs. Item is picked, checked against order sheet, paperwork filled out and sent out.
• For incoming shipments, the received merchandise needs to be checked against documentation sent, organized and put away in the appropriate area of the warehouse.
• Shipments need to be checked when arriving in the warehouse and report any deficiencies and/or problems and corrected
• Preparation may include spreading apart boxes, labeling, shrink-wrapping pallets, re-boxing and pushing boxes back into position.
• Understanding product codes and organization of items in NRB area. • Assisting in the annual inventory count and weekly cycle counts.
• Assisting in shipping area on larger orders such as Ford, Toyota or Canadian Tool-and checking and packaging orders
• Understanding employee responsibilities in Health and Safety requirements of warehouse work
• Employee may be exposed to all types of weather conditions, as warehouse door may be open for loading and unloading.
• Uphold and participate in the Koyo 5S program
